About the episode

The Victorian Farmers Federation has a new president, Quambatook mixed farmer Brett Hosking who is committed to restoring member confidence in the organisation, after the tumultuous and divisive leadership of former president Emma Germano.  We’ll also hear from him about the aftermath of the Grampians fires burned more than 76,000 hectares.  Also Lynden Brewis from Willaura who tragically had the highest stock losses and about 65 kms of fencing. We’ll talk about some of the lessons learned from the Grampians fires with Antony Baillieu of Yarram Park who wonders why there wasn’t more effort to contain the fires earlier.  .  Blazeaid is in full swing with volunteers helping  with bushfire recovery from a base at the Willaura football club recreation reserve.   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
