About the episode
Australia added just the six runs to their overnight score before Nathan Lyon became Jasprit Bumrah’s fifth wicket of the innings. It meant India needed 340 runs to win but from the outset they were digging in for the draw. Pat Cummins took two wickets in an over and then Mitch Starc got Virat Kohli before lunch to put Australia on top. But Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant batted through the afternoon session to put the draw back in sights. It took Travis Head’s golden arm/finger and a rash shot by Pant to get the breakthrough and from there Australia held every catch, got every review right and bowled India out for 155 to win by 184 runs and lead the series 2-1 heading into Sydney!
