About the episode

I was so unbelievably nervous to do this interview. Jodie Henry has been a rival, she has been a competitor and now she is someone I count as a friend. I really wanted to do her incredible career justice and I wanted to share different parts of her story, which is also sharing parts of my story, as our lives for a period of time were so heavily intertwined. I count myself incredibly lucky to swim in the time of Jodie, as annoyingly talented as she was, she made me better. She has always been one of the nicest people you could ever meet, which made it really hard for me to try and compete with her! Her transition into life after sport was relatively “smooth” but it was her transition into life after kids are at school, that made her start to realise that she was looking for new challenges! Jodie is as delightful, kind and thoughtful as ever and I know you’ll love this chat as much I did!
