Grant Hackett. Hacky. He was one of those athletes that I was lucky enough to admire from afar before making the team and also, had the privilege of being part of the team with him. He has always been put up on a pedestal in my mind. An exceptional athlete, who always chose to lead by example. He’s also been through a couple of very public breakdowns and some enormously difficult personal circumstances. I’ve known him as the leader of our Australian team who I looked up to (literally and metaphorically) and now I know him as someone who continues to grow and evolve and is now an incredible business leader who is capable of vulnerability and who continues to lead by example.
