About the episode

In our first episode of How To Be Happy we talk to best-selling author, motivational speaker and athlete Turia Pitt about overcoming adversity. It’s only nine years since Turia - the author of the recently released book Happiness and Other Ridiculous Aspirations - received burns to 65 percent of her body after she was caught in a forest fire. Since then - while going through the long, painful process of rehabilitation, she has completed an Ironman challenge, walked the Kokoda track, written two books and had two children. She’s an inspiration to anyone who thinks their life sucks because they’ve been handed lemons. On the podcast Turia talks about how even when you can’t control your external circumstances - you can always control your attitude and the way you approach life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
